You Can Stand Under My Umbrella..

What do you like to do during rainy days? Stay at home, cuddle with your loved one under the blankets while having a hot cup of hot cocoa? Or go out and play under the rain like a small kid? XD Whatever it is, I just love rainy days. Why? Cuz I get to use it as an excuse to go eat steamboat!! Hehe.

There's this steamboat restaurant nearby my place called Home Town Steamboat which I love. It is not the buffet kinda steamboat and you only get what you ordered, which is the only bad side as I cannot eat as much as I want.

So far I've only tried the Tomyam soup as well as the plain soup. I've seen quite a number of people ordering their broth but I've never tried it cause Robb doesn't want to. Maybe I'll get someone else to go there with me someday.

As it was raining cats and dogs yesterday, I asked Robb and my housemate Justin to have dinner in that steamboat restaurant and they agreed as it was a cold day. We would usually bring ZuZu along but since it was raining, he had to be left at home. Sorry sonny boy.

The food was good as usual. Although there were lots of things that I don't eat, but there was still enough food for me to fill my big tummy until it was bloated. After we finish eating, the rain was still pouring. Being the greedy pig, I can't help buying the chicken wings which were sold right outside the restaurant, which is my favorite as well.

It definitely was a pleasurable night, for my tummy. Hehe. Looks like I've got to control my eating before I gain too much weight. But can't blame me, I tend to get hungry easily during cold weathers. Blame the rain. :P

Busy Weekend..

There was a warehouse sales by L'Oreal last Saturday. For the first time after so many months, I was actually working. Although it was only as a part-timer for two days, it's better than nothing right? I was not alone though as Justin was there with me as well.

Anyway, there were lots of branded beauty products and fragrances on sale and the prices were unbelievable. The sale officially opens at 10.00am, but there were already people lining up to go in around 9.00am! We had to be there early and we were even provided with breakfast. They served Nasi Lemak, which was just ok for me, nothing too great but not too shabby as well.

After eating, we went to look for the person in charge and she told us what to do. I was to be in charge of the exit door and check every single person whether they have a receipt on their purchases or not. Not a very interesting job but it was very easy, just stand around for the day and earn RM100.

The people that came were unbelievable. Even after they let a big group of people in, there were still lots of them waiting outside. But that was until lunch time only, as the number of customers reduced over time. I had my lunch around 2.00pm, which was served by the hotel as well. This time, the food was better as it had one of my favorite food, lasagna!!

Nothing much to be said on the sales, except for the products sold were really very cheap. Girls would definitely shop till they drop. There were two aunties who were talking to each other when we checked for their receipts, and they were asking each other on how much they bought. One of them casually said something like,"Oh not that much, just RM4,000++. It's really cheap!". Me and another friend were looking at each other with an expression such as this (=_=).

I got to know quite a few people through this job, and there were some familiar faces there as well. I forgot to exchange numbers with them though. As for the customers, most of them are females, but there were some gays there as well. There were even some which I wasn't sure at first whether he/she is a male or female.

At the end of they day, Robb came to look for me and we had dinner with some of our friends. I got my salary before we left, and spent it immediately on my handphone charger as I needed a new one. Was pretty tired although I did nothing much. ZuZu was so happy when I reached home. He must had missed me a lot as I would usually be at home with him for the whole day. And yea, I miss him too. ^^

My Favourite Computer Game.. For Now..

I've been playing Perfect World for quite some time. It is a MMORPG, set in the world where three major tribes, Human, Winged Elves, and Werebeasts coexist. It is a world of magic and fantasy featuring the Chinese creation myth as its backdrop and leveraging on a rich and diverse oriental setting.

Perfect World centers on flight, and has many floating structures and areas. The game shifts from night to day and sunny to rainy season on a regular cycle, changing the view of each area with time for realism.

It is definitely a fun game to play as the graphics are simply magnificent. I've got to know quite a number of friends as well from all around the world, from Australia to Poland, and even Canada! Most of the players are from Malaysia though.

Since I've been playing for quite awhile, I've got a group of friends who I play with together. From hunting weapons and killing bosses, we stick with each other as we each have at least one character from each of the three races.

Cut things short, I've been playing this game so much that Robb feels that I'm addicted to it and has been spending too much time in it. Maybe I am. Everday when I wake up, I go to my PC and log into the game. When Robb comes back, I'm still in the game. Maybe I should reduce staring at my computer for so long.

Well whatever it is, I still love playing Perfect World. In there, I can fly, swim, run, sit on riding pets, and do anything that I'm not able to do in the real world. How nice if I really have those crystal wings to fly in real life.

For Robb..

Dear, I'm not sure if I've posted this song before or not. I just want you to know that no matter what changes in life that you're going through or whatever hardship that falls on you, I'll be there for you.

You're my love, my life, my everything! Don't ever feel that you're alone, I'm facing everything with you.

ZuZu will always love us as well, as much as we love him. The three of us will always be together. So be strong for yourself, for me, for ZuZu, for us. :)

With love,

Long Lost Sibling?

While I was resting in my hotel room during my trip to Sabah, I came across a very interesting show in Astro, Kylie Kwong My China.
Join chef and restaurateur Kylie Kwong on a personal and inspirational odyssey as she returns to the land of her ancestors. Kylie confronts the vast contrasts of China as she journeys to ten cities and provinces, from bustling mega-metropolises of Hong Kong and Beijing to the forgotten dirt villages of Guangdong. Beginning with her ancestral village in Toishan, Kylie ventures further to touch each compass point of China, engaging with local communities, buying ingredients from the market, learning regional cooking skills and preparing family meals. Along the way, she meets and cooks with an array of locals and samples a range of wonderful regional meals and tastes from the haute cuisine of glamorous Shanghai restaurants to simple bowls of noodles and pickles at the wooden stalls of Lhasa, and the altogether different and intense spicy heat of traditional Sichuan dishes. Kylie brings her own unique flair for fusing the traditional with the modern by combining some of her favourite creations with whatever ingredients are available. From cooking with fisherman to colourful encounters with flamboyant street vendors Kylie conjures up her very own culinary travelogue spiced with adventure.

The first thing that caught my eye was Kylie Kwong herself, and not the content of the show. Now guys, if you look at her picture carefully, does she resembles someone important in Nuffnang?

No? Then look at this picture.

This is Timothy Tiah, one of the co-founders of Nuffnang. For a 23 year old, he has achieved a lot in bringing up Nuffnang into becoming Asia's first and leading blog advertising community. He was even nominated for Asia's Young Entrepreneur Award in Business Week. But what has that got to do with Kylie Kwong?

Still don't see any resemblance? What if I put two of them together?

I don't know about you, but to me, they're simply identical. Hehehe.

Sabah Trip..

As mentioned before, I flew to Sabah with Robb to attend the Sabahan Bloggers Gathering. As our flight's departure time was at 9.30am, we had to reach LCCT by 7.00am just to be safe. Since we don't have our own transportation, we had to rely on a buddy of mine to drop us at KL Sentral by 6.00am. That being said, we did not have any time to sleep as my buddy was watching a midnight movie and only came to fetch us to his place around 3.00am as his house was nearer to KL Sentral. Sorry for bothering you Benny~!!

Being deprived of sleep, I was looking forward to sleeping in the plane as the journey would take around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Waiting to get boarded to the plane was boring as we practically had nothing to do but just sit and wait. Much to my relief, the plane arrived in time and we were the first few to get in line, thus we were able to choose our seats. When I stepped into the plane, I was disappointed. The seats were the same from the front row to the back row, so there wasn't any point in reaching there first or last.

There wasn't much leg space between the seats and it was quite uncomfortable all along the journey. I wonder how could anyone bare to sit through the journey for flights any longer than the flight I was in. It was only a 2 hours and 30 minutes flight and my body was already aching all over. It might be due to the fact that I didn't get enough sleep before that but still it wasn't a very comfortable journey. The word Airbus really suits them, just like a typical Malaysian bus which flies instead of on the road. Robb says I'm comparing too much as I've sat first class on MAS before. Not to say I'm comparing or anything, but I would rather pay a little higher to sit more comfortably as the rates ain't that much of a difference nowadays due to the high competition among airlines.

Enough of my complains. We reached Sabah around 12.00pm and took a cab to Radius International Hotel. The hotel was quite decent and comfortable and the price was just right. We met up with Chriss in the hotel's lobby as he had an earlier flight and was waiting there. After checking in and putting our stuffs in the room, we went for our lunch and went back to the room to sleep as we were very tired by then.

The gathering was held in the Imperial International Hotel, which was just right beside the hotel that we were staying. We were quite early and there wasn't much people there yet. The environment was quite cosy and the view was simply beautiful as we get to see the sun set. After some time, more and more bloggers started to pour in and the place became quite lively. I didn't recognize anyone there as I seldom blog hop but Blue instantly knew who I was.

Overall, it was a nice gathering as I got to know a few more people in the blogging society. Even though the flight was not that comfortable, I would say I enjoyed the experience as well as the trip as it has been some time since I've been to a new environment. Now that I'm back in KL, my life resumes as it was before I left for Sabah. Hopefully I'd find a purpose in life soon.

Flying Away..

No, I did not get to proceed on with the interview for Air Asia's cabin crew. To cut things short, I will be on their flight with Robb as a passenger this coming Saturday. It has been around 10 years since I've last been on an airplane. It was either the trip to Australia with my parents and brother, or the trip to Langkawi with my uncle's family. I can't quite remember.

As I've been wanting to travel, this trip would be a very memorable one, even though it is only for 2 days. I will be leaving to Kota Kinabalu with Robb to attend the Sabahan Bloggers Gathering. I'm kinda nervous though as I don't know anyone there except for Chriss. But still, it is nice to be flying out of Peninsular Malaysia after so long.

Hopefully I will have nice pictures to post up soon. ^^

Nervous..

Tomorrow, my fellow classmates will be graduating happily with their certs in their hands. Not that I don't feel the same for them, but maybe a little jealous that I had to stay back another year just because of one silly paper. Blame no one but my own incompetence.

But this is not why I am feeling nervous now. My heart's beating faster than normal, my body's feeling hot with sweat, and my mind's spinning round and round. There will be a walk-in interview for Air Asia's air steward tomorrow in Shangri-La Hotel, and surprisingly I decided to go.

I was already expecting to go alone, trying to face my fears of getting uncertain questions that I might not have the answers for. It was then when a friend of mine called. We talked for awhile and I mentioned about the interview to him. He got all excited as he did thought of being an air steward as well.

He then said that he would accompany me there as he was interested as well and that got me all hyped up. I would definitely feel better having a friend by my side, no matter what the results are, rather than going alone without knowing anyone there. I really did look forward to it and felt a little bit more confident.

That was till he sent me a message later on saying that he couldn't make it after all. I really felt as if I was being lifted up and then pushed down again. It was not entirely his fault as he did mentioned he had some plans later on. But I really hoped to go with him as I don't want to feel so alone, facing something that I've been avoiding for so long.

Now I'm wide awake, feeling nervous for nothing and making myself feel worse by not being able to sleep. The interview will be starting around 9.00am until 3.00pm and it would be preferable if I went there as early as I can. Having other plans as well after the interview, I wouldn't want to be lacking of rest and feeling tired for the entire day.

Still, the ball-less me is now wide awake, blogging away as if the night is still young. I wonder what time will I start to doze off. Hopefully I'm able to wake up energetically and able to perform well in the interview, whatever it is that they wanted to test me on.

Low self esteem,

Urgh.. The Smell!!

Nuuuuuuu~! It's durian season again. T_T How can anyone love such a stinky fruit? Everywhere I go, I see and SMELL durians! Sigh. To think that my housemate is gonna bring back durians tonight. Got to think of somewhere to go while they finish up those hell spawned fruits. Anyone knows how to get rid of the smell fast? I don't wanna come home and faint right after I open the door. T_T

Perhaps I should stick this at home. They should make more of this and put it all around so that public places won't be so full of durian smells, especially during durian season. =\ Someone help me!!

Busy Weekend..

It was a very tiring weekend for me. Can't remember what I did on Friday, but on Saturday, it was kinda full day for me. Robb dragged me to Fitness First as he needed someone to take pictures of him. I didn't want to go at first but he said he would ask other guys to do it if I'm not helping him out. Darn. I can't have other hot guys getting intimate with him can I? So eventually I ended up in the gym, taking some pics and doing some workout myself. Can't do much as my body still hurt from the previous session in the new gym nearby my place.

Went to meet up with Cheesie and Tock in Pavilion for some picture sessions as well. I didn't had much to talk to them as I'm usually shy towards people that I hardly know. I didn't know what to talk about as well as I'm not a very good conversationalist like Robb. So I just "lepak" around with them for the whole afternoon with nothing much to do. We went our separate ways after that, while me and Robb decided to have dinner in Carl's Junior. Went home after that to rest awhile before we went clubbing later on.

It has been a year or more since the last time we went clubbing. The previous time we went clubbing was in LaQueen, or so called LaLa Queen by some. My straight housemate went along with us and there were few guys who were interested with him. Hehe. This time, me and Robb went clubbing in Market Place with Benny, a guy who I've been recently hanging out with. He brought two pretty girls along as well. Market Place is a new hangout point for PLUs and I heard it was better than LaQueen. I have to agree that the crowd and songs are better but the place was kinda small. I still love Liquid the most, too bad it closed down.

Went out again today for some photo sessions for Robb somewhere in PJ. Kinda lazy to talk about it now. Came back to Jusco for dinner and did some shopping for groceries. It has been awhile since I've cooked something decent for Robb. Gonna try cooking again. ^^ As soon as we reached home, our beloved Zuzu started to wag his tail and jump around to greet us as he usually does. He must be missing us alot as we've been out alot this weekend. Such a lovely son. ^^

I've been thinking, how do you actually define a friend, especially a good friend? Is it possible for gays to have close gay friends or guys/girls to have close girl/guy friends even when they are attached? No idea why, maybe I'm too deprived of having someone else close to me besides Robb. Should I even be feeling this? I just miss having a friend whom I can talk to or hang out with anytime, anywhere. Used to have those kinda friends. Used to..

Obsessed With Zuzu..

Ain't he adorable~! My baby's still as cute as he was when he was just 2 weeks old. ^^ Being the greedy doggy, he's been gaining a little weight from all the goodies that he gets. He'll follow anyone with food, even strangers~! Everyone that came to my house before loved him as he was very friendly.

Whenever we go out, Zuzu will run to the door and look at us with his adorable eyes, begging us to bring him along. It's just so hard to resist loving him. Sometimes during dinner, we would bring him out with us and put him on the chair when we eat. Zuzu will be looking all around excitedly. I guess he must be bored being at home all the time.

When our food arrives, he'll be standing up, holding on to the table and looking at us with his adorable puppy eyes again. We try not to feed him too much as we don't want him to be overweight. Hehe. We even bring Zuzu to the OldTown White Coffee once awhile, right opposite our home. Lucky doggy huh?

He hasn't been a naughty boy these few weeks. Usually he would pee or poo in places other than his "toilet" once awhile. But he has been a good boy lately and doing all his business at the right places. The only naughty things he does lately is that he loves to bite! Especially me since I don't hit him. Guess he's just playful. :P

Having Zuzu around was the next best thing after having Robb in my life. Thank you dear~ Love you and Zuzu lots~
